Documenting on the wiki

An important part of taken this course is to documented your work for future reference. When starting any type of project, check if a page is already existing and continue documenting on that, or create a new page.

Guides and templates for documenting work:
Read this section and the articles in it before you begin editing pages.

The picture on the left should give you and broad idea of how to structure the year. To find a more detailed description of the Annual wheel go to this page: Annual wheel

Here are some different guides on how to pass the Eco car course. Remeber this is a course with a lot of freedom which is amazing in terms of projects, but it also puts all the responsibility of handing in proper work in time on your shoulders.

As student on the course you have complete freedom when choosing projects, if you dream about doing something specific that's great, go nuts! But should you lack ideas, you can look here or ask a course responsible.

If you are craving to do something on the wiki here is a list from which you can choose from. Of course you are free to add stuff if you are too lazy to do it yourself.

  • Electro students, where are they? (Groups & Contact info)
  • Complete the guides (how to start the car f.ex.)
  • CAN bus topics
  • CAN bus library for Teensy 4.0
  • ROS intro, setup and functions
  • Poster to attract attention and new members
  • Flyes for open house and for general use
  • Confirm final assignment description

To Do before racing in 2024

SoMe & PR

Åbenhus/Open house

DTU Roadrunners usually have a booth for open house in start March each year. Jesper will probably come and ask you as the students to plan it. It does not take a lot to plan and do the open house. Go to the page for more in depth information.

Social media

DTU Roadrunners have both a Facebook and an Instagram account where updates, pictures, etc. is posted for PR. In general it would be great to post more on both platform to grow the engagement, it tend to be forgotten.

OBS: For login details go to the social media page --> Social media

  • Facebook Page
    • Link - Facebook page
    • On Facebook Clause usually gives the students who want acces to the page as admins. So aks clause for acces.
  • Instagram Page
  • Website
    • Link - website
    • We have a website, but it has not been updated since 2018, and in general is not used anymore.
    • To get acces speak with Clause or Jepser.
